Man dies in workplace accident near Fox Creek

EDMONTON - A 59-year-old man is dead after a workplace accident Tuesday on an oil lease site south of Fox Creek, RCMP say.

RCMP were called to the accident around 2:10 p.m. on the site a few kilometres south of the northern Alberta town.

The victim was unloading a sideboom from a flat deck trailer when he fell from the machinery, Fox Creek RCMP Sgt. Jeff McBeth said Wednesday.
