WEE EXCLUSIVE: Health and Safety Executive alerted after mortuary worker is diagnosed with tuberculosis at high-tech forensic facility | West End Extra: A MORTUARY is under investigation after one of its staff members was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
The government’s health and safety watchdog has launched a probe into the forensic suite of Westminster Public Mortuary in Horseferry Road, Victoria, where bodies involved in suspicious deaths are examined.
It is unknown whether the worker contracted TB at the state-of-the-art facility – which received major investment in 2008 – as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is yet to reach any conclusions since it began to look into the case in July last year.
