Court fines EasyJet €70,000 over disabled passengers - France

Court fines EasyJet over disabled passengers - The Local: An appeal court in France upheld a €70,000 fine against budget airline EasyJet on Tuesday after the company was convicted of discrimination for refusing to allow three passengers in wheelchairs to board their planes.
The airline was initially convicted of discrimination back in January 2012 but appealed against the ruling.
On Tuesday that appeal was thrown out with the court also ordering the airline to pay €2,000 compensation to each of the three victims and a symbolic sum of €1 to a French disabled charity.
