The Hindu : Cities / Chennai : Worker killed as girder crashes in Chennai Metro Rail site: A worker was killed and two others were injured in a major accident at the Metro Rail construction site near St. Thomas Mount early on Thursday.
This is the second fatal accident at a Metro Rail construction site in Chennai. The first was in August 2012, near Pachaiyappa's College, in which one worker died and six others were seriously injured due to a crane boom failure.
