One killed in metro line test run - The Standard: One driver was killed and another injured during a test run of a metro line Tuesday in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
A spokesman with the municipal government said that part of a test train on the metro line derailed, causing the vehicle's heating device to fall and hit the drivers in the driver cabin, Xinhua news agency reports.
The city's first metro line scheduled for a trial operation in February was undergoing a non-loaded test run.
The government has set up an investigation team to probe the accident.
This was the third accident in two weeks relating to metro lines under construction in China.
