Newcastle takeaway boss fined again over hygiene - Chronicle News - News - ChronicleLive: A SHAMED takeaway boss has been hauled back before the courts for failing hygiene standards for a second time.
Belal Aljibouri, proprietor of Sicily takeaway in Newcastle city centre’s Cloth Market, pleaded guilty to two breaches of Food Hygiene Regulations.
Environmental health officers from the city council visited the takeaway on September 6 after receiving a complaint regarding its food hygiene.
Magistrates in the city were told they found the premises in a poor state of cleanliness with inadequate hand washing facilities.
Joanne Bagshaw, prosecuting, said: “The premises has a history of poor compliance with food hygiene.”
