82-year-old killed as lift crashes down - The Times of India: SURAT: In a freak accident, an 82-year-old Ahmedabad resident died in a hotel in Adajan as the lift which he used crashed after a free fall. Sources said he sustained multiple injuries on account of the impact made by the free fall of the lift on the ground. Police have sought the help of a lift inspector in the investigations. Lalchand Butani, a resident of Bodakdev, Ahmedabad, was on a three-day visit to the city with his family. The family had put up in Hotel Golden Star Country Club near BAPS Hospital in Adajan
