3 detained for negligence in Zonguldak mine explosion

3 detained for negligence in Zonguldak mine explosion: Three people working at the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) Kozlu mine in Zonguldak province, where eight miners were killed in an explosion on Monday, were detained as part of an investigation being carried out by the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Labor and Social Security Minister Faruk �elik announced after the incident that a detailed investigation had been launched. On Thursday, police detained mining engineer Y�ksel K., mining technician Murat C. and drill operator Mustafa �. on charges of negligence relating to the incident.

The engineer and the technician were released after questioning at the public prosecutor's office, while the drill operator was referred to court and released pending trial.
