1 Dead, 1 Hurt in York Paper Plant Accident | wltx.com

 CATAWBA, S.C. (AP) - York County officials say a Monroe, N.C., man has died and another has been injured in an accident at a paper plant.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Resolute Forest Products plant in Catawba.

Authorities say 39-year-old Samir Storey and the other worker climbed into an old tank outside the main production area to do some maintenance work. County emergency management director Cotton Howell says it's possible that some type of chemical leaked into the tank.
