Shoppers evacuated from Burgess Hill shopping centre - Local - Mid Sussex Times: Shoppers had to be evacuated from the Market Place shopping centre in Burgess Hill on Sunday (December, 30) during a fire scare.
The incident happened on one of the busiest Sunday shopping days of the year.
It was later confirmed that an alarm in Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) had gone off and shopping centre staff were able to evacuate people quickly and in an orderly fashion.
