Italy: Workman killed at troubled southern steelworks - Adnkronos Security: Taranto, 30 Oct. (AKI) - A worker was on Tuesday found dead at the troubled Ilva steel plant in Taranto, southern Italy, which a court has ordered to close owing to heavy pollution at the site.

An investigation has been opened after 29-year-old worker Claudio Marsella's body was found next to an engine that was being connected to locomotive transporting materials between the plant and Taranto's port.

Unions condemned the Marsella's death and declared a strike though Wednesday in protest.
