'Health and safety has gone too far' / Reading Chronicle / News / Roundup: A VULNERABLE woman says health and safety rules "have gone too far" and are preventing her leading an independent life.
The 59-year-old has been banned from leaving her essential crutches at the foot of the main stairwell in the block of flats in Knights Way, Emmer Green, where she lives on the first floor. Mobility issues mean she is unable to carry them up and down the stairs on her own, meaning she cannot go out at all unless she has someone with her.
