‘Elf & safe tray | The Sun
A CUSTOMER was not allowed to carry a tray of soft drinks in a restaurant — because of “health and safety”.
Stunned Tim Bannister, 35, was told he needed special TRAINING to balance the four glasses on the tray.
He was so incensed by the rule he complained to Government watchdogs — who agreed that it was “stupid” and had nothing to do with safety.
The incident came when Tim met friends for lunch at a waterside restaurant called Nautical Nellies in Southampton.
