Investigations into death of council worker - RT� News: Two separate investigations are underway into the death of a council worker who died last night.
The 47-year-old was seriously injured after he was hit by a pole during clearance work�while working close to a water reservoir at Carr's Hill near Cork City yesterday afternoon.
He died at Cork University Hospital last night.
The Health and Safety Authority and Cork County Council have both launched inquiries into the incident.
