KDLT.com South Dakota News - Father And Son Die In Work-Related Accident: Authorities say father and son died in a work-related accident near Gettysburg. Authorities say 50-year-old Kirk Hansen and 20-year-old Erik Hansen were overcome by methane gas Tuesday afternoon at the West Whitlock Resort area.
Potter County Sheriff Curt Hamburger tells KCCR radio that the two men were working on a lift station repair. He says they apparently were standing in a hole about 4 feet deep and were overcome by methane gas.
