Sanpete Co. rescue volunteer dies in work accident: A longtime Sanpete County search and rescue volunteer and one-time commander has died in a work accident west of Ephraim.Sanpete County deputy Eric Zeeman says Cheston Madsen was a plumbing contractor and had jumped into a trench to work on the septic system Wednesday afternoon. Zeeman says Madsen got caught between a moving backhoe and the wall of the trench and was killed.
