Hospital alert over nitrous oxide hazard - Hong Kong #notalaughingmatter

Hospital alert over nitrous oxide hazard: The Hospital Authority has issued an occuptional safety and health alert to public hospitals after the concentration of nitrous oxide was found to have exceeded limits by up to 12 times in labour wards at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is used for pain relief.

The hospital has suspended the use of laughing gas and has taken steps to improve air flow.
