A 28-year-old garbage worker from Blossvale, N.Y., was killed early this morning after being run over by his truck at a Utica transfer station.
According to a report posted on the Utica Police Department's facebook page, William Pope, who was working for Bliss Environmental Services Inc., was emptying a load at the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority in Utica when he realized he left the truck in gear.
