Worker killed in accident at shale mine in Saugerties | recordonline.com: SAUGERTIES — A worker from Greene County was killed late Thursday in an industrial accident at a shale mine in the Town of Saugerties. Police say Stephen Wickham, 30, was operating an industrial drill at the Northeast Solite Corp. at 1135 Kings Highway, boring holes for demolition charges when he became entangled in the shaft of the machine’s auger.
