Ventura Co. worker killed in hole-digging machine - AP State News - The Sacramento Bee: SANTA PAULA, Calif. -- A Ventura County field worker has been killed after being pulled into a machine that digs post holes.The Ventura County Star reported ( http://bit.ly/SyUcbP) that 29-year-old Ernesto Rodriguez Gomez of Santa Paula died Friday around 8 a.m. in a farm field near Santa Paula.Rodriguez's shirt got caught in the machine, called an auger, and he was pulled in. The machine was being hauled by a tractor.
The cause of death was found to be blunt-force trauma.
