Argentina: Second Oil Spill in Two Weeks in Neuqun |The Argentina Independent: Approximately 15 cubic meters of crude oil spilled onto a provincial road and into the Colorado river near the town of Rincn de los Sauces in Neuqun.

The spill was caused by the overflow of one of the containers at an industrial plant exploited by YPF, the national petrol company. The container was at the Puest Hernndez plant where it was being prepared for transport to another location.

Two nearby towns, Catriel and 25 de Mayo, issued preventive safety measures for the use of tap water. The provincial road No6 was momentarily closed to traffic.
