Young woman hurt in Kingston site accident
An apprentice electrical worker has suffered an electric shock while working on an apartment site at the Kingston foreshore.
WorkSafe ACT inspectors are investigating the incident at the Aurora Apartments complex.
The young woman, who WorkSafe said was working for J-Tep Electrical & Plumbing, is conscious and has been taken to the Canberra Hospital.
ACT Work Safety Commissioner Mark McCabe said early investigations suggested the fourth year apprentice was working on a live circuit that she believed had been switched off.
