Wood factory explosion injures 21 in southern Vietnam

Vietnam latest news - Thanh Nien Daily | Wood factory explosion injures 21 in southern Vietnam: Twenty one workers sustained burn injuries in an explosion at a wood factory in the southern province of Dong Nai Tuesday.

Witnesses said the explosion occurred at the factory’s sawdust storeroom at around 2.30 p.m., when some 200 workers were working.

It shook the 9,700-square-meter plant in Thien Tan Commune, Vinh Cuu District, run by Duc Tam Company, and a fire broke out soon afterwards, they said.

The workers fled in panic, but some of them were injured and taken to the Thong Nhat General Hospital in nearby Bien Hoa town.
