Peabody Energy Says Worker Killed in Coal-Mining Accident - Bloomberg: Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU), the largest
U.S. coal producer by volume, said a 30-year-old worker died
today in a mining accident.
Chad Wayne Meyers, who worked at the company’s Willow Lake
Mine, was fatally crushed while operating a machine, St. Louis-
based Peabody said in a statement. The accident happened at 3:20
a.m. local time and the cause is still being determined, Peabody
said.
