Building Under Renovation Caught Fire - Workplace Safety and Health Council

Workplace Safety and Health Council: Recently a hotel caught fire while undergoing renovation. The fire occurred at the hotel basement where combustible material was stored. Preliminary investigations revealed that there was gas-cutting work at the first storey of the hotel and is a likely source of ignition of the fire. A worker and some hotel guests were treated for smoke inhalation.
