Worker dies at limestone quarry north of Las Vegas - Las Vegas Sun

 An industrial accident has claimed the life of a worker at a limestone quarry north of Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas Fire officials say the man died after falling about noon on Monday at the Apex Quarry and Plant about eight miles north of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Capt. Cedric Williams told the Las Vegas Sun the exact cause of death is not known.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.

The plant is operated by Lhoist North America of Arizona Inc.
